somehow real busy

im unemployed yet dont seem to have enough hours in each day. im not quite sure how that happens. life is good though.

this past weekend i put in about 900 miles or so on my car from friday - sunday. i was the official golf photographer for the 98th annual texas amateur golf tourney in trinity texas. i happen to know the right people and was asked if i would be interested so of course i said yes despite knowing anything about what a golf photographer would actually do. it ended up being really fun and im hopefully going to help them out in some future tournaments. i got to drive around in a golf cart all day and basically do whatever the heck i wanted. i learned a lot about golf and decided that i will never have the patience to be able to play the game. the main benefit was of course making money which is quite important when youre unemployed.

got put up in a hotel friday nite in huntsville bc trinity is so podunk they dont even have hotels yeah. oh and did i say hotel? i mean motel and it was super shady and i really thought i was possibly going to die there. that was neat.

i came back sat nite for a patty griffin show in austin which was great. shes just amazing live and played a bunch of stuff from her album that just came out. the only downfall to going to the show was all the extra driving back and forth and lack of sleep. by the end of the weekend i was running on caffeine and was feeling quite delirious.

thats the latest on that. not much else going on. im in the process of trying to get a bike off craigslist and might just have a contender. pretty excited about that. the last time i had a bike i was in college station and had gotten a steal on one at a garage sale for $20. wait no, not a steal. i got exactly what i paid for. i had to put wd40 on the brakes each morning otherwise they squealed and squawked something awful. thus, it received the nickname of 'the goose.' and yes, the wd40 did slow down the braking process. i had near accidents on a daily basis. oh the memories...

thats all i got.
